Also, has anyone tried using video accelerators to help buffering/skipping, such as Speedbit? I just wonder if that would somewhat help people like me with less-than-par broadband speeds.

I really need some help. I recently changed my username password on megavideo and now icefilms has stopped working. I deleted the plugin and reinstalled it but it is not giving me a place to enter my new username/password. Can anyone help with this. I have stopped and restarted playon numerous times

restarted playon twice and now I have entered new username and pw but am getting the error every time I connect that there are no films available and username/pw is incorrect. I just got a new username/pw and entered it. I know it works but not on here. What can I do?
Any suggestions would be very appreciated

chasd,
Try this,
Delete the Ice Films registry entry (This requires messing with Windows registry - Be careful what you delete)
1) Press "CTRL+R" and type "regedit" or use the Run command.
2) Navigate to
Win XP "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MediaMall\MediaMall\Plugins\Scripts"
Win 7. "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MediaMall\MediaMall\Plugins\Scripts"
3) Delete the folder "ice_films.lua"
4) Restart Playon, close playon settings
5) reenter your login info in Playon settings (under plugin tab).
6) Restart Playon

For anyone having trouble getting IDM to work with this script, I found I had to use these parameters for XP:
App path:
C:\Program Files\Internet Download Manager\IDMan.exe
Command line params:
/d "{downloadurl}"
or
/d "{downloadurl}" /n (for silent mode)
Just make sure to set your download locations within IDM itself, not in ICEscript command line params. Any change will not take until server restart.
I did the same with Windows 7 except the app path to IDMan.exe is different (64bit version). Interactive Services Detection popped up and downloaded vids directly to C: for some reason. If anyone knows how to make Interactive Services Detection not interfere on Windows 7, I would love to know your solution.

Hey guys,
I just want to say great job creating this script, however lately I find it very hard to stream a video to my xbox. It is too slow and keeps buffering. Does anybody have the same issue I am having? And is there any fix or work around it?
Thanks

Any buffering issues would be with your connection or the specific content you're watching. For some reason some episodes or movies will buffer more than others, even if it's the same episode/movie. I usually try a different source or pause the stream for 5 minutes to allow playon to catch up.

Thanks hottamale for ur response. actually my internet is fast enough to stream most hd videos maybe as u said it depends on the video I am watching and it is something wrong with the megavideo servers.
Cheers

First I must say this is the best and only script needed!
Issue I have is I use playit in media center to launch playon When I go to my favorites and pick a show the first highlighted choice is remove show from favorites and the show is automatically removed and i have to re-add it to my favorites. is there any way to add an confirmation screen to confirm deletion?

I noticed that the script had been updated, and now you have an option to view the video on Megavideo, or Megaupload. Which is great but now when selecting the Option to "Download This Video" within the script does not work. I am using MyDownloaderWin.exe to download the file. Also I had not changed any of my setup or parameters. Not sure if I am the only one having this issue, and any suggestions would be helpful.

I have been having a problem with IceFilms for a little while but I finally figured out what is going on. I have been watching the series Smallville, recently when I try to use Playon/IceFilms to watch it I get the error 'The selected folder contains no media items'. I finally went to the Icefilms.info page directly http://www.icefilms.info/tv/series/1/205 and Megavideo has added a captcha on episode in this series. I suspect this is what is causing the problem when I try to play the show via PlayOn/IceFilms.
If anyone ones any workarounds please let me know

IceFilms.info has been up and down all day today. It is currently taking forever to load. I wonder if if the studios are doing cyber-attacks to these sites. It wouldn't surprise me. They have the resources.
