I have seen talk that some links require a wait period from rapidshare and even over at icefilms they seem to not really know why.

hey Ht,
any chance or thought of getting the 2shared links to work also with the script? just a curious question?

I don't have any current plans to implement 2shared. The few tests I ran had multi minute waits for a link. Way to slow for a script.

You stated that a rapidshare account is recommended. I don't have one and I do not get a lot of links to popular shows from rapidshare. Is this only because I don't have an account? I hate to buy one if they don't have access to the shows I watch. I haven't checked movies yet, but hope they have the at least similar selection of movies as megavideo.

You will find that rapidshare doesn't have anywhere close to the number of things as MV did. But since ice has named RS as the main host things will get better. Just think how long it took for MV to get the amount of stuff they had.

The RS recommendation was made for the same reason I recommended a MV prem account. No watching limits + watch multiple videos at the same time.
RS works way better than MV did w/o a Pro account but you will be limited as to how often you can start a video. This is a major issue if you select the wrong video or one you've already seen, when you select another video you will be blocked (free version).
That said, I added a very basic version of 2Shared. It hasx the exact same issues as the free RS account. The error message will show how many minutes you will need to wait before trying another video.

Any one using WD TV Live - keep in mind you cannot use this script in preview mode without a paid account - hope this helps someone

Updated and all is good until I get to actuallly play the show and says no player or mirror found? Do I need to fix something on my end?

had the same problem - stop playon server close the interface with the x and reopen - restart server - try again

Do I put the new user and password info where I had the megavideo information in the icefilm options? Noticed that there isn't a box specific to rapidshare pro...? Thank you!
Disregard question. I downloaded the latest update directly onto CPU and actually followed the instructions above...close the playon settings box x 3 and then the options box changed for Icefilms. I was able to register my rapidshare pro.
Agree completely that a rapidshare pro acct. is recommended as all of the links are working and without buffering issues!

If you still get the "No Player available for ...." message when trying RS or 2Shared links be sure to restart the Playon server again and possibly your playback device.

I can't get this to work at all. I don't get an option to add any account and I get the error stating I need to update my script whenever I try to access it.

Did you check the comments section on the download page? It has very specific instructions on installing/reinstalling this script. Be sure to use the direct dl link to eliminate any autoupdate issues.

I'm still getting a weird result with the Ice script. I installed the new Rapidshare version, but am still getting this result when I go to either device (WDTV Live or Sony BDP-S70).
I drill down through and main folder and get two results: No Page Found and All Genres. If I select All Genres then I get No Page Found.
Any thoughts Hottamale?
One more thing when I go to the registry there is no Ice_Films.lua folder, but a icefilm13815 folder.

When you get the No Page Found message that usually means that IF is down or not accessible at that time. Try accessing it from a browser to see if that is the case. If it works in ie try restarting Playon.
The id Icefilm138715 is the correct registry entry now. That was updated so that login info wouldn't get lost or corrupted anymore. Playon seemed to have an issue with plugins that didn't have a unique id (like icefilm13815) when the plugin was updated.

I had read the article before and was hoping and keep fingers crossed that they Rapidshare keep head above water Torrentfreak is one of my everyday go to favorites
